He he, here is Caim from Drakengard ^__^
I’m a big fan of this game (dragoons and fighting, how can you not like it? :b) and a bigger fan of Caim (uhuh I love it when he’s running to say the truth *__*). Isn’t he cute? ^_^
When I drew this fanart, I tried to respect the sadistic side of the character. Yep, Caim kills, he says it’s for vegeance, but in fact it’s mainly to satisfy his mad thirst for blood (they’re all mad in this game uhuh ^_^) ((-Stef speaking: not as mad as you, my dear !-))
I wanted to draw it out… well, at the beginning I was pondering about putting in a lot of blood, of red, of fire, those kind of things… but Caim is clothed in blue-grey shades, and these colours are cold in a way, I thus thought it was far more disturbing. Well, I wanted him to be a little scary. Is it good?
Anyway, unfortunately I’m not used to making a fog-like effect (first time I did one in fact… ) so the background is not that good, but oh well… I hope it’s not too much of a bother (explanation => the artist wanted that Caim, like a dark knight, would seem to come out of the fog and slay his enemy by surprise so that he would fall down at his feet…) (yeah yeah, I gotta go to bed XD)
